Three and a half years ago I had excepted the idea that a working mother of two couldn't have time to consistently exercise and be fit. I would try different programs, get excited about it, and would quit after a few weeks after seeing no results. I would always fall back on the idea that I didn't have time to exercise and my family was more important.
My life changed when my husband convinced me to try a Crossfit class. He saw me frustrated when clothes didn't fit and knew that I wanted to lead a healthier lifestyle. I looked on the website and was intimidated by the whole idea of doing movements that I knew absolutely nothing about. Barbells, handstands pull-ups? Is that a joke? I promised my husband that I'd try it for a month and see how it goes. The rest is history.
CrossFit has made me stronger physically and mentally. I truly feel like I can handle whatever comes my way. I get better each day and I try to go after the things I have always feared. I am ok now if I finish last in a workout and everyone is around me cheering me to finish. I am getting better each day.
I eat healthier, sleep longer and am an overall happier person. Our whole family has fitness as a priority, not a chore.
I am now a mom, daughter, wife, friend, coach, kindergarten teacher and a crossFitter!

I've been exercising (lifting weight, playing rugby, racquetball, whatever) since I was 18. I have my Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and my Doctorate in Chiropractic. I was pretty confident in my abilities and knowledge until my wife decided that she wanted me to follow her lead and try CrossFit. Why would I ever want to workout in a class. I don't need someone else watching me, never mind telling me what to do. Then I did it.
It is more addictive than rugby. The results you get, aesthetically and more importantly biologically (bloodwork) is absolutely amazing. All I can ask is that you try it, for yourself, for the people you love.
We are CrossFit coaches, we will coach you, teach you and, we hope, have a profound effect on you. CrossFit Release will change your life, if you let it.
